LCP Program at Santa Clara

The program was attended by nearly 40 community leaders representing various organizations and professions including community leaders, social activist, teachers and directors of mosque boards. Resources shared in the presentations were made available for the participants.

The program was designed to provide an integrated exposure to leadership and management skills, challenges and issues facing the growing Muslim community, and well as share knowledge of Islamic principles in their application in North America particularly focusing on the topics of Leadership and Strategic Planning and Implementation.

The program ended with a meeting of invited local leaders representing the diverse Muslim organizations in the Santa Clara area discussing the development and implementation of a Shura Council.

The day long events were followed by a banquet dinner for the greater community where Ahmed ElHattab, acting Secretary General of ISNA, enlightened the guests about ISNA Leadership Programs and the 43rd Annual ISNA Convention. Imam Alaudin AlBakri closed the evening delivering the keynote address highlighting the importance of moral character in positions of leadership.
